Sober Life: Real-Time Monitoring Programme for Alcohol Recovery
Sober Life is a convenient relapse prevention programme designed for patients in their first year of recovery. It provides accountability for sobriety and long-term recovery through a cloud-based alcohol monitoring system.
After an initial medical assessment, a counsellor designs a daily breath test schedule to measure the patient's Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC), using a breathalyzer with facial recognition technology. This technology verifies the identity of the patient during each breath test for accurate and reliable results. Each test result is recorded in a cloud-based system and sent in real time by email or SMS to the patient's recovery circle (counsellor and loved ones), giving the opportunity to step in and make adjustments as necessary. The programme also includes a monthly face-to-face session.
How does it work?
Three simple steps:
1) Patient receives schedule test reminder by SMS
2) Patient submits breath test
3) Recovery circle receives real-time test results by email
