Recovery Worker - Substance Misuse & Mental Health

​

We have a vacancy for an experienced full-time Recovery Worker. You will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, carry out patient assessments and reviews, support medical interventions, and cover office duties. You will be working closely with our clinical & management team, patients, their families, therapists, pharmacies and GPs. You will also have the opportunity to gain experience with more unique and bespoke assignments.

You will be responsible for managing a caseload and will be experienced in client intake, risk assessments, care plans, drug screening, safeguarding adults and children, opiate substitute prescribing, alcohol, opiate and non-opiate detoxifications.

​

The successful candidate will most likely have gained their experience as a Recovery Worker or a similar role in an adult community drug & alcohol service and/or residential treatment service. Working knowledge of opioid substitute prescribing (including prescription management and record keeping) is essential for this post.

You will receive support, training and opportunity to develop as part of our close-knit, experienced team.

Our ideal candidate would be educated to a degree level or equivalent. A qualification in addictions, counselling, psychotherapy or psychology would be an advantage.
